ASSOCIATED PRESS WRONGLY REPORTS RELEASE OF McGRATH OPINION

HELENA - On August 27, 2002, the Associated Press incorrectly reported that Montana Attorney General Mike McGrath issued a formal opinion addressing growth policy issues in Flathead County.

The piece released by McGrath's office was a draft document issued to the requestor and other interested parties. Such "comment drafts" allow for input and comments prior to the release of a formal AG's opinion. Following receipt of comments, it is possible some or all of the conclusions of the draft may change.
