Bozeman Driver Exam Station Announces Schedule Change
HELENA – Officials with the state's Motor Vehicle Division announced today that the Bozeman driver exam station will adjust its hours to better serve Bozeman-area drivers.
Beginning Monday, June 26, staff members will assist customers with driver license renewals and written tests from 8 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. daily, then conduct scheduled driving tests from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. No other services will be provided after 3 p.m., while staff members give the driving tests.
"We're not reducing hours and we're still open from 8 to 5," said MVD Field Operations Bureau Chief Kristine Thatcher. "Scheduling driving tests in a single block of time will help us serve our customers more efficiently."
Thatcher said the schedule changes are in response to some staffing shortages. She said they are temporary, and the exam station expects to be up to full staff by the end of the summer.
"We appreciate the patience of our Bozeman-area customers," Thatcher said.
To schedule a driving test at the Bozeman station, drivers should call 586-5560. For other information about driver testing, including a full schedule for driver exam stations, drivers can visit the Department of Justice website at www.doj.mt.gov/driving/driverexamstations.asp.
