Missoula Driver Exam Station Begins Appointment Scheduling

HELENA –Motor Vehicle Division Administrator Brenda Nordlund announced Monday that, beginning next week, March 29, the Missoula driver exam station and its travel station in Superior will switch to scheduled customer appointments.

“Missoula is one of the largest and busiest exam stations in Montana,” Nordlund said. “We strive to provide quality customer service in a time-efficient and positive manner. Appointment scheduling will help us provide better service to each and every customer.”

According to Nordlund, feedback from customers who use appointment scheduling in the Billings, Bozeman, and Helena areas has been very positive.

The majority of appointments may be scheduled online. Appointments for Stage III VIN inspections must be scheduled through the MVD Customer Service Center at 1-866-450-8034.

“We realize that our customers have a lot to fit into their day, and many people have to take time off work to come to our offices, so we want to be sure they are aware and understand what information they need to bring,” Kristine Thatcher, Field Operations Bureau Chief, said. “We want to save our customers the frustration that comes from not being able to complete the service they need because they didn’t bring the necessary documents to their appointment.”

People who do not have computer access should call the MVD Customer Service Center toll free at 1-866-450-8034 to schedule an appointment.
