The National Children’s Alliance
The National Children’s Alliance is the national organization of Children’s Advocacy Centers and multidisciplinary teams.

Administration for Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
A division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Administration maintains a host of information for children, their families and caregivers on this site, including information about child abuse and neglect. Look for it under the “Services” section.

American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children
The society is the leading organization supporting professionals who work with victims of child abuse. Their website has many resources for professionals, including lists of upcoming training, institutes, even some free web-based education provided by reputable professionals.

Crimes Against Children Research Center
A project of the University of New Hampshire, the Crimes Against Children Research Center conducts cutting-edge research into crimes against children, compiling statistics and discovering new trends for law enforcement, policy makers, child welfare professionals and others.

Darkness to Light
This national organization was formed to prevent child sex abuse by training adults.

Midwest Regional Children’s Advocacy Center
Another regional CAC organization. Montana is not a part of this region, but their site is informative.

National Child Protection Training Center
Located at Winona State University in Winona, Minn., the training center has a goal of significantly reducing child abuse, neglect and maltreatment in three generations. Among other things, the center provides curriculum for front-line child protection professionals nationwide.

National Child Traumatic Stress Network
The Network works to improve the standard of for children exposed any number of childhood traumas, including physical and sexual abuse. This website offers an excellent kit for parents and caregivers of victimized children.

National Children’s Advocacy Center
An all-around great resource for parents, caregivers, professionals, children and teenagers.

National District Attorneys Association
An organization of criminal prosecutors at all levels of the criminal justice system, the NDAA has a child abuse project and an excellent web page on the topic. Look for it under the “Our Programs” section of this site.

Northeast Regional Children’s Advocacy Center
This is another regional CAC organization established by the U.S. Department of Justice. Montana is not a part of this region, but the site offers interesting information for professionals.

Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
The Medical University of South Carolina offers this web-based learning course for professionals.

Western Regional Children’s Advocacy Center
This U.S. Department of Justice project helps strengthen the response to child sexual abuse in 13 Western states, including Montana.
